In China, English teaching is a whites-only club

BEIJING – Speak a little English and are willing to relocate? Well, you’re probably qualified to be an English-language instructor in China.

As long as you are white, that is.

Chinese teaching agencies are constantly seeking candidates to teach English to the growing number of children who are looking to get a leg up in China’s rigorous academic environment. The opportunity is quite lucrative and requires little or no knowledge of Chinese.

But the ads recruiting these teachers come with a catch.

Take, for example, Mike Lee and Will Evans, students from the U.S. and Canada, respectively, who applied to be English teachers through the New Development School, a teacher-placement agency in Beijing. Being fluent speakers of English, both believed they would make competitive candidates.

What they didn’t know is that recruiters would not be evaluating them just on their English fluency or academic credentials. Instead, they were judged primarily on physical appearance.

“We want him [pointing to Evans], but we don’t want you [to Lee],” the recruiter told them, as the two stood side by side at the front counter of the school. “Unfortunately, parents of our students don’t really want someone Asian to be teaching.”

Lee, who is Korean-American, was rejected from the school despite having previous experience teaching English as a second language (ESL). Evans, a white Canadian, was hired on the spot.

“I was shocked – back home this wouldn’t be acceptable,” Lee told NBC News. “I’ve never been discriminated (against) in that way.”

White, Caucasians only
Racial discrimination is a harsh reality within China’s ESL industry, where recruiters actively seek the blond-hair, blue-eyed all-American archetype (along with similarly equipped Britons, Australians and other native speakers close behind). While brown hair also is acceptable, having a white face is a near-absolute requirement.

Courtesy Liz Thomas

Will Evans, a Canadian who teaches English in China, is seen in his classroom.

Byron Vogue, who works for the corporate English training company Stanford English, said that Chinese recruiters will always prefer to hire Caucasian applicants over their non-white counterparts.

“There’s this concept that if you send your children to English class, the parents are expecting their children to be taught by a white English teacher versus an Asian-American or … a black American,” he said.

A post by Vogue on a popular online forum and classifieds site, The Beijinger, explicitly spells out the phenomenon:

“In Beijing this is the general pecking order in terms of a company's recruitment (by Chinese managers):

1. White Americans/Canadians

2. White British

3. White Australians/New Zealanders and South Africans

4. European Nonnatives/Black Americans/Black British

5. American Asians/Black Aussies (Australians) and Kiwis (New Zealanders)/Filipinos/Africans”

The discrimination comes, Evans said, because Chinese parents simply do not believe a non-white person can possibly be a native speaker. Thus, this logic continues, hiring a white person is the simplest and easiest way to ensure that the teacher is truly fluent.

“I was told that it was nice for parents to see foreign or white-looking teachers around the school,” Evans said, adding that he was encouraged to walk outside and greet parents.

Advertisements for English teaching positions are up-front in their bias. A search for “English teacher” in The Beijinger’s classifieds section reveals dozens of ads that include language such as “Job requires American or Canadian white teacher” or “white color is preferred.”

The ESL teaching industry isn’t the only job market in China where being Caucasian is an asset. So-called “face jobs,” where companies temporarily hire a white person to be a fake employee during an important event or business meeting, also are common in China.

Wanna sell something in China? Hire a white guy

‘Makes you feel like crap’

The preference for Caucasian employees angers many Asian-Americans and other English-speaking ethnic Asians.

“It makes you feel like crap,” said Lee. “We all came here on the same boat, at the same time, looking for the same opportunity. I didn’t know the color of my skin was going to be an issue. I find it weird to be discriminated against for being Asian, while I’m in Asia.”

This article dramatically proves how stupid discrimination and provincialism can be, when a country like China has people who believe that English can only be taught by white people. Why they even discriminate against themselves.

I'm not sure whether this is more funny or offensive.

On reflection, I'll go with offensive - China Sucks!! Be it rhino killing for mumbo jumbo aphrodisiacs when there's plenty of Viagra to go around, elephant massacring for ivory when there are plenty of substitutes, or this shyte, China Sucks!! :D

It's kinda the same in Japan.

For smaller, hole-in-the-wall English companies, both whites and blacks are hired on the spot and Asians (of any country) discriminated against. However, larger companies like ECC, AEON, and NOVA hold a "No Discrimination" policy... but that doesn't mean that parents won't complain about it and push to get their way.

We have a term for those parents, they're called "Monster Parents". And I can only imagine that in China they are phenomenally worse than they are in Japan.

Discriminate against "themselves?"

I guess you think Chinese people see Koreans as equals.

Silly, round-eyed foreign devil!

Racism is not an exclusively American problem.

And racism in other countries takes into account races that Americans typically lump-together in one big "non-white" group.

Evans told NBC News. “I’ve never been discriminated (against) in that way.”

Why is Evans complaining? He got the job. No one discriminated against him. The Chinese policy worked in his favor.

Sorry, but China is a sovereign country and can do as it pleases. If they want to discriminate, they can discriminate, and there is no one that anyone can sue. Other countries on this planet don't necessarily work the same way as the USA does. Incidents such as this should make all of you appreciate the good, old USA better. Be thankful for what you have regardless of whether you think the system is perfect.

China has signed this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Convention_on_the_Elimination_of_All_Forms_of_Racial_Discrimination

And being a sovereign state does not justify engaging in something morally disgusting. Furthermore, there's nothing wrong with pressing for people, nations, entities, and so on to improve and become better.

It is good to help ensure that individual human rights and civil liberties are protected across the whole planet.

Imagine if you had been born as an unaccepted skin color or ethnicity, and denied an opportunity on that basis alone, rather than on merit. Would you still be defending the ones who did such a thing to you?

Try and get a job in Arizona that in any way interacts with the public, and not know how to speak Spanish, even if you are Hispanic (oh oh, hear come the Hispanic isn't a race people). My wife (by her own definition) is Hispanic and her kids are half White, even they are discriminated against for not knowing Spanish (my wife understands and can speak it if they go slow).

So you PC people; what race are the people who you say are not Hispanic? Why do so many job applications have a box for Hispanic?

Ah yall, I is White as snow and speak mighty fine english, too. Can I git a job in China?

Why we know only White folks know all about english grammar, composition, and all that stuff, you know, cause we is the orginator of the language, you know what I mean? No colour man is superior to our command of the english cause english is the White Man's language. There aint never been colour folks who speak better than us, rite better than us, spell better or think better. No way! Just look at our prime examples in the Jerry Springer Show. Why, they show the rest of the world even the White Trash of America can out talk all them colour folks. Them lucky Chinese they is gettin the best english teachers America has to offer. In ten years from now, they be talking, walking, and strutting like we is in America.

The word Hispanic originally and still does mean anyone from Spain or Portugal. The USA has wrongly used the word since the J E Carter Administration to mean anyone from North America, Latin America, and South America of people of Spanish origins. That is incorrect.

These parents would be mighty surprised if they got a guy who grew up in the ghetto, who got passed through college without knowing how to read very well, and though white taught the kids something along the lines of "hey homie, how it hangin?" I'm not sure the parents would appreciate their kid comming home and asking them that; but then again if the parents don't really know English and assume "the white guy must know best" :o

It is rather odd/ridiculous that Chinese individuals would discriminate against fellow individuals of Chinese dissent; especially after sending their kids off to learn English. What, when the kids have learned the language, they can't be proficient? And here many in the US would assume the biggest bit of discrimination they'd be likely to see is if they get pulled aside by a TSA agent while boarding a plane; because the TSA agent can't tell the difference between an Asian and an Arab, and they think the guy is Al Quida :o

It's a peculiar state of affairs, but a Tai Chi teacher I had when I was in New Mexico, had a teacher/sifu in Hong Kong.... The unexpected is that some other teachers wanted to pick him up, because he's white. It's almost as if there was some kind of competition, or status associated to how many white students they had... Not withstanding, my teacher, was not in the market for another teacher and also understood the sifu concept; so was inclined to decline....

In a very distant sense, Latinos are descendents of those who came to the America's from Spain. So in a manner of speaking, if one were to go by ancestory, it sort of fits; on grounds that though they aren't from Spain, their progenitors were (some 500+ years back). But then many are also (some South American countries) it isn't uncommon for one to be of mixed decent between Hispanic and Native... I think Ecuador for instance, something along the lines of 3/4 or 4/5ths of the population is of such mixed decent....

On the other hand however, we wouldn't call all white Americans British or pilgrims... Though, and of course in the centuries gone by it was more then individuals from the UK who had immigrated here...

Will China grow up, yes someday they will, but it will take time. Until till then, welcome to reverse discrimination that white Americans have been experiencing for the last 30 years in the USA.

I guess most of you missed the whole part about "face jobs". White man = super model, sports car, something exotic in China. It is a power thing, look at us we have enough money and power to hire a white man. It was why he is encouraged to go out front and meet with the parents. It makes the school look better, charge more $. The same reason my old companies would not make me an Engineer without a four-year degree no matter how smart I was, what I could do, or how many years of experience I had.

"WAKE UP, PEOPLE!! The belief that your own race/ethnicity/nationality is better than the others is pretty much UNIVERSAL." Very true, not many humble people out there. So many lack the ability, or just do not take the time to see things from other people's perspectives.

Do you prefer/like seeing Asian people at your local "Chinese" restaurant or a bunch of whites/blacks? Come on how can it be authentic Chinese food if white or black people are making it? Just because they are Asian does not make them Chinese either.

I have a great face, am frosty white, and love to travel, sign me up for some "face" jobs. I could help bring some $ back to America :P.

If they don't want you in China, oh well too bad for them. Go to Japan or Korea if you want to experience an Asian culture. They love everyone there and they're fascinated by the differences of different races. My brother (Black Canadian) speaks Korean and has been there to visit friends and I have cousins and friends that have been teaching in Korea for years. Whatever issues they have with racism usually aren't that big of a deal (about the same you might get in some parts of the states) and its usually just ignorance that can be laughed off because in the end it really just makes the racist look dumb.

    @ JulieWI

If you are applying for a job where they hire someone who is greatly less qualified over you because they are an minority, then why would you want to work there?

The quota system was put in place to force employers to stop discriminating against someone based solely on their skin color. If it wasn't an issue it would have never been created. Even when you remove the skin color factor, when people are hired there are many factors at play other than qualifications. Its the employers job to find a person who is the right fit for their company. If an employer hires someone who is clearly an idiot over someone who is highly qualified then I would think that that's wrong and they have to deal with the consequences of disrupting their business.

Just because your job "discrimination" is a vocalized thing it doesn't mean it doesn't happen to the millions of minorities on a daily basis. We've pretty much grown up knowing that if you have a non anglo-saxon sounding name you'll have trouble getting a job and in an interview make sure your hair is straight and be as "white" as possible. Its in human nature for us to categorize things and even people so we can't be shocked when someone sees the color of your skin and automatically thinks the worse of yourself based solely on preconceived ideas of how "people like you" are . I mean having to have 15 black ppl to every 100 white is nothing to whine over and to say that those black (or other minorities) get the job just because they're not Caucasian is offensive and a little racist. It pretty much ties into the China ideal of who is smart and worthy of a position

Rose Colored Glasses: As a white American, I felt more discriminated against in Japan than I did in China. Some Japanese restaurants and small businesses have a "No Gaijin" policy and will block the entrance of whites even if the same money will be spent. Maybe the Japanese aren't as desperate for income as some other Asian nations. In China, it seemed our business (and their profit) was more important than our color.

Perhaps it's not because English-speaking whites can't teach English. Rather, maybe the Chinese worry that non-whites will speak and teach English with an accent - and they won't be able to detect this in an interview. Depending on where the Chinese want to send their kids for college, the parents may prefer a neutral Californian/CNN-speaking white to a British or Aussie white, or even to a New York/Boston/Southern white. Accents may be an important part of their discrimination.

Discrimination based on skin color is alive and well accepted. A white skin is actively sought and few Asians would ever consider going into the sun to get a tan...

The Chinese usually only consider only Hans with proven ancestry, speak/write Mandarin, Chinese features and light complexion for positions of trust and ones that could meet the public...

Everyone else is treated as slaves, even when working in their own country...

DrRWKline - That statement isn't at all true. You might interpret it that way because most people expect to see an Asian face running any Asian restaurant. There is an Italian restaurant in my hometown that has been in business for at least 20 years, probably much longer than that. It came to my attention only 20 years ago. It's owned and operated by a Korean woman. The food is outstanding. They make their own marinara sauce from scratch. The bread served with dinner is delicious. Even so, on one of the on-line websites where people can post comments on restaurant service, etc., one idiot said that she didn't see how it could possibly be authentic Italian food since it is owned by a Korean. Since when did our ability to cook any kind of cuisine get passed along in our DNA?

Actually you are wrong, 60% of recipe for Chinese food are based on the uses with oil and I mean lots of it. The 40% is about steam, boil, cook and such, I know about this because half of my neighbor in Vietnam are half Chinese and they speak both language. That was over 15 years ago, this is why I also afraid of food with lots of oil as the result.

Food is food. Anyone can pick up a cookbook or be taught how make "authentic" ethnic food. I can cook Chinese food, just as well as, Italian, Mexican, Japanese, etc. I consider myself an American (with German, English, Irish descendants) and cooking is not a hereditary thing.

I do admire the Chinese for their respect of the elderly. I believe this is an Asian philosophy, meaning that Koreans, Japanese, Vietnamese also share this trait.

There is discrimination in all cultures, but since I'm currently unemployed and apply for jobs every day, I have encountered, firsthand, the corporate discrimination of older workers, especially in the IT sector. I have gone to about a dozen interviews and always come out of them thinking that, finally, I will get a job. Then I get the dreaded corporate email from a non-entity informing me that, even though I am highly qualified, another applicant was a better "fit". Discrimination is alive and well against the older workers.

So, I wonder if I could qualify for one of these teaching jobs? I'm in my early 60s, blonde/silver hair, hazel-green eyes with a very fair complexion. Maybe my knowledge and skills would be better appreciated in an Asian country.

Since we're talking about Chinese food, I'm with Expat on the fresh vegetables and ingredients with no MSG. I've eaten Chinese around the US and abroad ordering to that preference. How do I do it?

Looking for a Chinese restaurant with good food, buffet serve style are an absolute no-no. That is, unless you receive recommendation from close friend and can order the entrees and sides without MSG as you would in a standard restaurant. Knowing your friend's tastes match yours is a must.

When I lived in one place for a long time, I became friends with the owners so that they recognized me as I walked in and even called me Mr. MSG. I reveled in my tactic as I watched them cook my order, including fried rice, fresh every time. The fact that the food had no MSG guaranteed its freshness.

Although there was strong evidence that MSG could affect health of some people, I wasn't one of them. But I didn't eat greasy fried rice or entrees cooked in quantity and kept warm for fast service.

Damn, just made myself hungry for Chinese!!

So a blonde German who only knows a bit of English would be hired before an American whose great-grandparents came from Asia???? That's beyond stupid.

Actually this is true, mostly for tradition Chinese at least. They are all about image and how their family will be look in society.

Vietnam also share some of these as well.

don't care if the place feels authentic or if the cooks meet their stereotypes, all i care about is that the chef is awesome at what he/she does so my food is good and occasionally makes custom orders to improve the menu. I'll pay for what i want not just whats on the menu and I'm willing to wait if i have time, then again between me and my friends we can all cook like the best chefs and it comes from being really picky eaters.

Dude pick up an American history book and read about what was done in this country to others for hundreds of years. Maybe you already know what was done and just don't care cause you are a loser and can't make it in this world while people from India and China come here and take your lunch. Image is the only thing that matters in China.

I worked as an English teacher (Im a blonde scandinavian, but my english as good as native). One day I had food poisoning and asked them to let me go home which the school refused. They wanted me to sit inside the classroom eventhough I was too sick to teach while the Chinese assitant teacher held the class, just so that the parents would see a foreigner in the class room. That's all that matter, not whether I could teach them or not. I sat in a corner and puked all through out the class.

But on the other hand, I have also been discriminated against for not being Chinese looking. I applied for a waitressing job in Norway at a Chinese restaurant and got an enthusiastic reply, but once they asked for my picture and saw it the stopped replying to me or taking my phone calls.

Sucks but really that's life so don't waste your time feeling too touchy touchy about it.

Come to Thailand where they prefer the English teachers to be from countries where English is their native tongue. Color of skin is usually not a deciding factor...

But even this has its draw-backs. - Attend a class taught by a UK or Aussie teacher... Ha! Ha!

BTY - You can always identify a Asian writer by their not using the word THE. Most can not pronounce the word, so they do not use it in their writing...

A Southern accent throws many foreigners, as most expect an American to speak with a northern (NYC) accent. When in a anti-American area, just speak southern, and you will find-out what the world really thinks about the USA...

If you have black face DO NOT join a black jack or poker table. If you do the Chinese player/s will get up and leaves because the consider a devil and a bad luck.

                      News flash, INEPTIA!!

The African tribes were either murdering or enslaving any stranger they encountered for thousands of years BEFORE they ever saw a Caucasian.

Slavery and oppression is universal in human history. No single race or ethnicity is exempt.

If you are a descendant of an African tribe, it's every bit as likely that YOUR ancestors held slaves as it is for those of European ancestry.

It's also called White Priveledge. Studies have shown over and over again that blacks are discriminated against in employment, housing, loans, etc. Two people equally qualified for a position, one has a name like Tamika Jackson and the other has a name like Brittany Young. Guess whose getting the call back from the employer. Same thing happens in housing. ABC did a study where a black woman and a white woman called several apartments that were for rent. The black woman is told that the apartments are all rented out, the white woman is told she can pick which one she wants.

I'm not blaming whites for the problems that minorities suffer but we should at least acknowledge that racism still exists.

Hey My Black and Asian American brothers. I see this as an opportunity to rid America of all whites. Think about it. If they Keep hiring only whites this means more white people will leave the US and than we can start discriminating against the few whites that are left. You have to look at the positives sometimes. This means the days of a white president are numbered. I imagine the Aborigines and Black South Africans will also benefits when all the white people move to China. Thanks China you need any more white people we can load them on a boat and send them to you. LOL... Just kidding. I'm just saying.

2BadpPole is a clear example of why Asians do not want African Americans teaching their children. The African American culture is more about flashiness, boastfullness and bravado, less about actual substance and taking care of their children. The average white male has had an edge on their African American counterpart since first grade in every metric that applies to scholarship and professionalism. Here 2BadpPole shows us how he measures ones success in life; his ability to attract and sleep with women even if they are probably prostitutes.

I've been teaching English for many years in China. I've never had trouble finding a job because I'm white. However, my black friend, a native English speaker from California and black, has had many problems here finding jobs. Yes, they want a white face here, which is very funny because many white people I've met are from countries that don't speak English as their native tongue. I worked for an elementary after school program that hired many Russians, Ukrainians, Poles, Bulgarians, etc. who spoke horrible English. In the eyes of Chinese, if you aren't white, you really aren't an American, Canadian, Brit or Aussie.....I would never suggest a man of color come to work in China....

Many Chinese have family in California. Where blacks target Asians and use them like ATMs or sex dolls. A lot of them get attacked just to release frustration. They are punching bags for black kids. Their reputation precedes them. If blacks want asians to except them, quit abusing them. Quit raping them. Oakland is the worst.

LeeDaWei--This article has shown preference for the white male. Do many white females apply for/hold many ESL positions in China? Is age a factor? I ask because I've considered doing something of this nature after I retire. I didn't realize that it was so racially slanted, but in this case, being Caucasian might actually work for me.

Zapper - Yes, white American females also teach English in China. If you're over 50 or so, then it's best if you have a teaching degree and experience teaching English as a second language if you want the job. Age is not discriminated against as much in Asian countries as it is here in the U.S. You may feel more respected if you're both white and retired - as long as you present yourself professionally and have a college degree.

I question your post since I know several American English "teachers" in Eurasia. In many countries the "teachers" have to hustle to get enough work to pay their expenses. Most all foreign English schools want Americans first, because they want American English and not proper British English.

The white English teacher thing comes from Hollywood's stereotyping Negros with a poor speaking skills, which as we all know is not the fact. The Chinese parents want their child(s) to sound like a Caucasian business professional as they see on television.

All countries have different cultures than the USA. I suggest that you travel outside of your World to learn something about it. Some you will like and some you will not...

I don't know. First of all there's more to teaching English here than that. Firstly, you have to be a university grad. That's the law here, as well as in Korea and Japan. Second: the euro-centric preference is a fad that this article is a little late on the draw reporting, as that's been true in all 3 countries for a very long time, but isn't such a pressing, blockading truth now.

This seems more like more anti-China BS.. well not BS, but it's tripe aimed at China that doesn't apply any less to Japan, Korea or a number of other places we're friendly with.

Hell, try being a black guy, in a suit and qualified in the states and as long as you can't prove that your color got you skipped over and they aren't in particular need of filling a quota, you're as good as passed over if there's a whiter candidate than you, looking for the same job.

The reality over here is they're desperate for qualified foreigners, in general, so if this is what you want to do and you aren't white.. don't let bull@!$%# articles like this stop you from trying. Be my guest if the only place you could possibly want to go is Beijing but I personally wouldn't want to live or work there.

I'm fine in Shanghai, and even this place gets to be too crowded for my liking at times. I've been allover, and Shanghai isn't that bad, compared to places like Beijing.

I had to come here to see what is and isn't true about the @!$%# we print about China. Some of it is true, like the fact some of the food is actually dog... although I have plenty of alternatives.. like my dumplings, noodles that I eat pretty much daily and weekend Pizza Hut sorties. A sad fact that you probably wont see on MSNBC is that a lot of American fast food places in China serve better quality food and with better service than in the states.

A good bit of what's said on this site is not so true and should be taken with a grain of salt, at least until you have referred to someone who's been here or come here, yourself.

Stuff like this is semi-concurrent and semi-true at best and obviously aimed at deterring anyone considering expatriating with their degree that hasn't turned a profit (of which I know there's almost a whole generation, at this point).

I'm not at all saying this place is anywhere close to better than the USA, I'm just saying that articles like this are skewed and employ a less than credible sample demographic sample as evidence. I was taught in informal logic and several other critical thinking and evaluation course I passed through (which, by the way were taught in the USA).. that that's nowhere near credible enough to be taken as absolute fact.

So, If you people fancy yourselves as any smarter than the robots you think the Chinese are, you better get off your armchairs and evaluate things for yourself and quit letting the media teach you to hate the players instead of upping your game, because that is all one can really get from this.

First, for the idiot who blames blacks for taking away jobs from whites:

                                        1. There are no coporate quotas
                                        2. Even when diversity was popoular in America, qualified blacks were still unemployed at twice the rate of their white counter-parts and finally,
                                        3. for blacks, many professions have just become accessible to us in the last 60 years or so. We are so far behind whites we will never catch up as a race.

White advantage in America is huge and extragenerational and always will be!!

Blame shifting white folks remind me of the time I reported for my first software engineering job out of college. I had completed a BS in Computer Engineering and a Masters in Computer Science. A retired Navy guy that worked the manufcturing floor approached me angrily and said I took his job because I was black. I asked him what his background was and he said some sort of Naval Comuter Operator (i.e no College background). I just walked away.

So if you are white and feel somehow discriminated against, you are fooling yourself. Look inward. Like MJ said, look at the Man in the Mirror.

Getting back to Asian racial discrimination. Keep in mind people that we are living in a Global Economy where many large asian coporation have and will conintue to emerge here and globally. This racism within their respective native culture(s) tend to travel with them. I experinced this at Samsung which refused to hire blacks as managers (HR asked me to sue but I refused), and at a large PC manufacturer whose IT practice was run by a Chinese person. I am not sure how I got in but when we were hiring, this person would not approve any of my candiates that were white or black. I tended to like them because they were the only ones who spoke coherent english out of our candidate pool.

Asian culture and American values are going to be headed for a radical collision very soon my friends.

Our melting pot is truly going to be tested!!

What is funny about this is how we react to this. The Chinese are judging by EXPERIENCE. They have found that white males tend to teach better English than their black counterparts. They want their child speaking proper English without the African American influence that makes one seem uneducated. Speaking proper English will allow that student to have more possible business opportunities than if he/she spoke more like an African American.

World Gone Crazy,What does this post or the comments of 2bdadbpole have to do with black people? Ignorance is not a part of black culture. The things that you listed before are not qualities of all blacks. How do any of us even know that the outlandish comments of 2badbpole or whatever his name is, are those of an actual black person? Good Grief! You speak as if all blacks speak incorrect English.Where do you live? Do you know any blacks or do you only watch us on tv? Maybe you should stop turn from Basketball Wives & Real Housewives of Atlanta. It seems your views are based solely on stereotypes.

I think you are putting thoughts into their heads, believing what you want to believe. You obviously have an axe to grind with black males. Did a black guy steal your white girlfriend?

Don't worry if Obama gets elected and is able to dumb down the school system here in America a little more the Chinese will be wanting to learn ebonics to compete in the US market. Then the blacks will get their turn teaching.

You are an idiot. Bad grammar, spelling and vocabulary is not a political exclusive. Hate seems to be bi-political and the left wing sheep seem to be more lacking in intelligent responses and are in total denial, which only comes second to their hypocrisy.

It s good to see in China that they are actually allowed to hire who they think does the best job, unlike the US.

Sorry Bob, but race has nothing to do with qualifications for doing a job. How tall are you? Under six feet? If I ever interview you for a desk job, I'll be sure to pass you by before even speaking with you. You don't meet our height requirement. Being six feet tall and over assures us that you will do the best job.

Chinese society and the state respectively is the most rasist in the world. China has 100 million people of its own population oppressed on the base religion, race or both. And this is an official state policy as well. Just to mention few: tibetians and muslims in China. It is important that the West require human rights' changes in this racist country. Its economic growth supported by US and the rest of the West actually support...rasism in China as well.
